Fresh strawberries are the best!

While we also like to grow them ourselves, if we want to make strawberry jam, mini-strawberry pies, slow cooker strawberry bread pudding, strawberry, and fresh berry popsicles, or any other recipes that require strawberries, we pick them at a local strawberry farm.

It’s the perfect way to shop locally, help out a small business, and eat glorious strawberries.

Should I Use Conventional or Organic Strawberries?

It’s important to note that strawberries and jalapenos are on the Dirty Dozen list. But organic foods aren’t always in the budget or accessible.

If you do buy conventional, remember to wash your strawberries right before you use them and don’t let them sit in the solution.

While we do try to buy organic when we can, it’s okay to buy conventional.

Everything in moderation.
