Your must have essential oils that you don’t want to be without.

It’s no secret that I love my essential oils. There are so many great ones out there, but I’m going to share with you my top 7 must-have essential oils today. Sure, there are others that would be great to have, but these are my go-to oils that I make sure we never run out of because they are so versatile.
Top 7 Essential Oils
Thieves is versatile because you can use it to fight off ickies, and clean with it. It’s great on household dirt and grime.
Lavender is what I call “a first aid kit in a bottle”. There are so many uses. Cuts and scrapes, calm down before bed, seasonal relief, ear pain, and it smells amazing.
Peppermint is great for nausea, especially motion sickness and morning sickness. It helps with alertness and mommy brain. We’ve used it to bring down elevated temperatures, and in baking to add mint to brownies.
Lemon is perfect for getting permanent marker off of skin. It helps with bloating and overall wellbeing.
Peace & Calming helps with rest. It’s great for calming when in situations that cause anxiety.
Panaway helps relax muscles. It’s amazing for reducing bruising.
Frankincense helps support the immune system. It’s great in lotion as it reduces age spots.
What Else?
You definitely need to have those 7 essential oils on hand, but what else is good to have around?
Great question!
I am NEVER without the RC essential oil blend during the cold season. It’s the only thing that helped ease my husband’s cough during the last round of yuck. It’s amazing. I diffuse it and apply it with coconut oil on the chest. AH-MAZING!
Grapefruit essential oil is a great uplifting essential oil that helps during the lows of the winter doldrums. You can also add a drop or two to your water to help with weight loss. I don’t care for the taste of grapefruits, but I LOVE the smell.
But Essential Oils are SO Expensive
They aren’t cheap. There is a lot that goes into the essential oils process – from seed (affiliate link) to seal. Most of the essential oils that I recommended are included in the Premium Kit you can purchase by signing up as a distributor (affiliate link) for Young Living (affiliate link). Plus you get the diffuser!! The great thing about that, you don’t have to sell anything. There are no monthly quotas. You can simply purchase oils for your family {and friends} with your wholesale discount. As long as you spend $50 within the year after your initial purchase, you’re good to go. Easy Peasy.
What are you waiting for? Start today here!!
As always, if you have any questions, let me know!

Hi, Megan! You are welcome! I'm glad you found the information useful. We love our oils. I always recommend the Premium Kit because it includes the oils I mentioned in the post plus some, and a diffuser. You also get Essential Oils Boot Camp, and exclusive Vibrant Thymes groups on Facebook where you can ask any and all questions as you learn to navigate the essential oil world. If you have any questions about the process, please email me at whitneycornelison{at}gmail{dot}com and I'll do what I can. Make sure you grab my 120 Ways to Use Essential Oils eBook to learn 120 ways to use the essential oils in the Premium Kit. I hope you have a great rest of your weekend!!

You mention that RC Essential Oil blend is one that you use a lot. The link that is listed doesn't show an RC Essential blend. Can you tell me what that is please? Thank you! I am really enjoying your site. Great job!

Hi, Jenny! Thanks for stopping by! We use RC for respiratory congestion and coughs. It contains: Eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, myrtus communis oil, pinus sylvestris (pine) leaf oil, origanum majorana (marjoram) leaf oil, eucalyptus radiata leaf oil, eucalyptus citriodora leaf oil, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) oil, cupressus sempervirens oil, tsuga canadensis leaf oil, and mentha piperita (peppermint) oil. It's one of my favorites. We also recently started using Frankincense for coughs. It's more expensive, but Frankincense is included in the Premium Kit. If you have any other questions, let me know!

I finally took the plunge and ordered my kit from Young Living. I had tossed around the idea for over a year and when the "third" time came around I dove in. I am so excited to use them. So many awesome testimonials using them.
