Sunrise Smoothie

The warm sun shining on my face.

Sand beneath my feet.

The crash of waves and the sound of seagulls all around.

A faint, “Mommy, wake up! It’s mornin’ time!!” in the distance.

Wait. What?

With those little words, I hit the day running. Littles to clothe, breakfast to make, school to do. Throw in some chores, lunch, nap time if I’m lucky, work, cleaning, snacks, dinner, baths, bedtime routine, and then we do it all again. I’m lucky to remember to go to the bathroom, let alone eat.

More times than not, I find myself eating what is left on the plates of my littles {as long as they didn’t chew it up first}, grab snacks from the pantry throughout the day {which isn’t all that great either}, or I do both. Never quite feeling full, but consuming way more calories than I should in a day.

It all starts with breakfast. For some reason, breakfast is the hardest meal for me to eat. I am usually content to drink my cup of coffee and go on with my day. But then I want a snack. Sometimes that’s an apple. Other times, it’s a gluten free cookie. Maybe even a cupcake. It’s all downhill from there.

As a busy mom, I need snacks that are quick, nourishing, gluten free, dairy free, and GMO free.* While a whole real food diet is ideal, it’s not always possible. That’s why I decided to try Renew Life Skinny Gut Ultimate Shakes.

While I haven’t tried the Renew Life Skinny Gut Chocolate Shake, but the Renew Life Skinny Gut Vanilla Shake is great in my Pineapple-Orange Sunrise Smoothie. Even my children loved it!

It is! Almost like a Dole Whip! Next time I'm using pineapple juice instead of orange juice!
