Tips for Keeping Your Family Healthy All Year Round

This post is sponsored by Venta Airwasher. All opinions are my own.

Getting sick is not something I enjoy dealing with, especially when my kids are sick. With four kids, it seems to take 3 to 4 weeks for us to completely get over sicknesses. It’s awful.

I will go to great lengths to make sure my kids stay as healthy as possible. I may be the crazy person slathering diluted essential oils on feet, making sure everyone is taking their elderberry tincture, drinking apple cider vinegar, and spraying everything in sight down with Thieves Cleaner.

Tips for Keeping Your Family Healthy All Year Round

It can be overwhelming to try and keep your family healthy, but following these tips will help tremendously!

1. Drink lots of water.

One of the best things you can do to keep your family healthy this year is to drink lots of water. Water has a way of helping your body flush out toxins. Drinking more water can help your body in more ways than one. Challenge your family to drink as much as possible.

2. Encourage your family to wash their hands.

Another prime way to keep your family healthy this year is to encourage your family to wash their hands. This can be a learning curve for little ones, but it is well worth teaching them this health trick. Washing hands help keep away germs and keep bacteria from spreading. Really, it is one of the most sensible ways to keep your family healthy this year.

3. Leave your shoes at the door.

It doesn’t sound like it would do much, but it keeps all the germs and nasty that you’ve walked through during the day, outside where they need to be. If you still need arch support or cushion for your feet, consider a pair of house shoes. Whether they are slippers or shoes that you only wear in the house, you will be reducing the number of bacteria and viruses in your home with one simple step.

4. Eat as healthy as possible.

It is amazing how much what you eat correlates to how healthy you stay. Eating fruits and veggies can help give your body the right nutrients it needs to stay healthy. While no one is perfect in their eating habits, this step surely gives you something to think about.

5. Grab a Venta Airwasher.

One of the best things you can do for your family this year is to hook them up with a Venta Airwasher. This essentially is one of the best tools for your family’s health.

Here is how it works: dust, particles, and allergens are removed from the air with the Airwasher. It also works as a 2 in 1 humidifier and air purifier. Both have been super important in the dry climate of Colorado. The Venta Airwasher provides just the right amount of humidity without over-saturating the house with moisture.

It is compact, efficient, and has been super helpful to my family. You’ll notice that the Airwasher is light, durable, super low maintenance. Interested, but want more info? VENTA has a great website full of information to answer all your questions.

6. Add essential oils to the Venta Airwasher

One of my favorite parts of the Venta Airwasher is the essential oils that are specifically formulated for the device. You can pick from 6 yummy fragrances – Citrus Garden, Vanilla, Relaxing, Refreshing, Winter Dream, and Eucalyptus, plus 2 combo packs which include three different scents a piece. I love adding these to the water our Airwasher to help us relax and to help us create a home full of health and balance.

Keeping your family healthy this year is as easy as following these simple tips. Of course, sometimes there is nothing you can do about being sick. However, you can do your best to avoid spreading germs and bacteria.

What tips would you add to this list?
