Pumpkin Spice Chai {or Coffee}
With Fall just around the corner, I have jumped full on into the land of pumpkin. I love pumpkin! While I would love to buy Pumpkin Spice Lattes everyday, my budget doesn't allow that. Plus, trying to get four littles in the car just for a drink seems a little silly. So, I decided to try to make it myself.
I love how universal it is. You can either use it for tea or coffee. Add cream or coconut milk cream. So many options for your handcrafted pumpkin spice chai latte infused with flavorful flair.
Pumpkin Spice Chai {or Coffee}
1 can pumpkin puree
2 Tablespoons Pumpkin Spice seasoning
2 Tablespoons Bourbon Vanilla Extract
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup of Chai Tea {or 1 cup of strong coffee}
Cream or Coconut milk to your liking
In a bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, vanilla extract, and brown sugar together. Taste. If you like really sweet drinks, you may want to add more brown sugar.
Add two heaping spoonfuls of mixture to one cup of chai tea {or one cup of coffee}. Add cream if you can handle dairy, or coconut milk if you are dairy free.
{Dairy free} Whipped Cream
1 can of coconut milk {heavy cream}
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon Bourbon Vanilla Extract
Chill metal bowl and whisk. Shake the can of coconut milk and add to chilled bowl. Add sugar and vanilla. Whisk until you have stiff peaks of delicious whipped coconut cream.
Enjoy!
Which do you prefer? Chai or Coffee?
I’ll introduce this new drink to my family this Xmas! It looks wonderful for a cold day. Thanks for sharing.
