We love books in our house. I started children’s books way before having children. In high school I thought I was going to be a Children’s Minister or an Elementary School Teacher. In college I started out with a major in Elementary Education and a double minor in English and Educational Ministry. I LOVE books.

Even though I personally don’t get to read a lot of grown up books, I read several books throughout the day. My new favorite books for toddlers are the BabyLit Books. They are adorable!! I think it’s a great way to introduce even the littlest reader to classics.

BabyLit Reading

Sandra Boynton books are another favorite. They make reading the same book over and over and over again for the umpteenth time somewhat enjoyable. We usually add motions to them too. Even my 3 year old with Apraxia has memorized Oh My Oh My Oh Dinosaurs! and repeats it with us while we read.

I love books! Always have. I remember staying up until the wee hours of the morning because I just could not put down the book until I got to the end. I am so thankful to pass along this love of reading to my children. Here are the favorites in our house for toddlers.
