Do you love to camp or just being outdoors, but don’t like the bugs and bites that come with the territory? I don’t remember mosquitos being that bad in Kentucky. But that could just be a faulty memory. I do, however, remember them being horrible in Florida when we would go for vacation. Funny how they don’t seem to be as bad now. In North Carolina, they are horrible.Every time the weather warms up, I get nervous thinking about all the chemicals in the bug sprays and sunscreens we will be putting on our children. I’ve tried several “natural” brands and either the ingredient list didn’t seem so natural or we still got bit. As for sunscreen, we use a combination of essential oils and coconut oil. It works for the most part. Although during a long trip to the beach, we did burn a bit. This recipe as worked for us so far this year. Our backyard backs up to a creek, so mosquitos are a given. Purification is great for the bites too!
