Would you rather play in the rain or stay dry? Walt Disney World during the summer means two things are consistent- rain and heat. 🌧 🥵 But you don’t have to let it ruin the magic. ✨ Make sure you pack raincoats or ponchos. It might not rain, but it probably will. Wear comfortable shoes that still work when wet. While I pack pretty light, I don’t skimp on shoe options. No one likes to wear wet sloppy shoes the day after. Cooling towels are a great way to stay fresh during the heat of the day. Stay hydrated. Handheld fans are a must. I’ll admit to never being a fan person, but they do help! I bought ours on Amazon. They have two speeds, don’t break when dropped SEVERAL times, and recharge easily. Bring a couple of extra masks for each day. We haven’t had issues with wet masks between ponchos, umbrellas, and raincoats, but it’s always a good idea to bring extras. When it starts raining, the typical first response is to run for cover. Don’t. Find a non-crowded area, maintain social distancing, pull out your rain gear, and you’ll be fine! Continue washing your hands, using hand sanitizer, wearing your mask the right way, social distancing, using contactless payments, and you’ll have a magical time even in the rain.

In a world that feels upside down, we are choosing to embrace the crazy and eat chocolate. (AD) Easter isn’t cancelled this year. We brought our outdoor #easteregghunt indoors and added a twist! We had so much fun doing our #indooreasteregghunt ! We filled the eggs with @reeses #peanutbuttereggs , @cadburyusa creme egg and mini eggs along with fun activities for the kids to do to help get energy out. Honestly, I was nervous. Would the tween think it’s dumb? To my relief, they all loved it! There were many belly laughs as everyone went through their eggs and did the activities on the slips. #memoriesweremade for sure. Check out https://www.hersheys.com/kitchen/en_us/home.html for more ideas to celebrate this weekend! How are you celebrating #easter2020 ? #reeses #cadburyusa

This season… This season is for making forts, wearing masks, and making memories. What I wouldn’t give for a yard during this season of quarantine. To be able to send the kids outside to play without having to go outside with them. Maybe I could mark more things off my to-do list. Instead, we’re building forts and tents inside. Going out in early mornings or late evenings to hide from the heat of the day. At home, we can forget that an unseen virus has stripped our favorite magical place from us. We can pretend life is “normal” beyond our walls. This season has been unpredictable, unprecedented, and, many times, unnerving. But we press on and run our race. Not knowing what the future holds, but who holds the future. I’m (trying to) participate in #cherisheveryday365_july with @lashawnwiltz and @jenniferborget in their #cherisheveryday365 #photochallenge ! Come join in! #mykidomicamp
