Bigger and better than ever, the festival gallops into the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds April 14-16, 2023, with 3 fun-filled days of action, activities, and eats.

This Family Fun Festival is an exciting and family-friendly event that celebrates the rich tradition of rodeo culture. Held annually in the vibrant city of Tampa, Florida, this event brings together top rodeo competitors from across the country to showcase their skills and entertain the crowds. With thrilling events such as bull riding, barrel racing, and steer wrestling, spectators are sure to be on the edge of their seats throughout the weekend.

In addition to the rodeo competitions, it also features a wide range of family-friendly activities and attractions. From carnival rides and games to live music and delicious food, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. And for those who want to learn more about rodeo culture and history, there are educational exhibits and interactive demonstrations to explore.

Tampa Bay Rodeo and Family Festival Schedule

Friday & Saturday: Gates open at 4:00 pm; Rodeo at 8:00 pm.

Sunday Family Festival Day: 12-5:00 pm.

On Friday and Saturday nights, cowboys and cowgirls compete in the Rodeo, with BULL RIDING, barrel racing, and bronco busting. Parents can register their littlest cowpokes on-site for the very popular mutton bustin’.

The evenings begin with the Family Festival, with delicious food, exciting games, amusing animals, and LIVE MUSIC on the Bud Light Entertainment Stage.

New This Year

New this year, come back Sunday afternoon to play, eat and enjoy more live music at the Family Festival! The Sunday Family Festival Day allows guests to enjoy all the Family Festival offerings and live music from different musical artists. 

Tampa-area and Nashville recording artist Randy McNeeley takes the stage on Friday and Saturday nights, and nationally-touring country artists Craig Campbell and Canaan Smith each perform on Sunday afternoon.

Craig Campbell is a singer and songwriter from Georgia, who debuted in 2011 with his self-titled album “Craig Campbell.” He is known for hits such as “Family Man,” “Outta My Head,” and “Keep Them Kisses Comin’.” Campbell has released a total of four studio albums and has been nominated for several awards, including the Academy of Country Music Awards and the Country Music Association Awards.

Canaan Smith is also a singer and songwriter, originally from Virginia. He debuted in 2012 with his single “We Got Us” and released his first studio album “Bronco” in 2015. Smith is known for hits such as “Love You Like That,” “Hole in a Bottle,” and “Like You That Way.” He has also written songs for other country artists, including Love and Theft and Florida Georgia Line.

Both Craig Campbell and Canaan Smith are known for their high-energy live performances and have toured extensively throughout the United States. They are celebrated for their contributions to the modern country music scene and continue to be popular with fans of the genre.

Everyone will have a rip-roarin’ good time at the Family Festival where guests can participate in a host of challenges including riding the mechanical bull and axe throwing.

There’s something for everyone at this spring extravaganza including face painting and games for the littlest wranglers.

The Tampa Bay Rodeo is an EBA-sanctioned event. Bulls, broncs, and barrels are presented by 5S Bucking Bulls based in Lithia, Florida.
