Superhero Sundays at The Melting Pot
Thank you to The Melting Pot Littleton for hosting our family for Superhero Sunday. All opinion are my own.
One of my favorite places for date nights and girls night out is The Melting Pot. Sitting together, laughing over food, cooking together, it's always a fun experience.
But since we've had kids, we haven't been much.
The Melting Pot is great for adult events, but are not little kids friendly. At least not usually.
That was until they started hosting events catering to kids like their Superhero Sundays and Fondue Fairytale. Hosted on their patio, the atmosphere is casual and laid back. Perfect for Superheroes and Princesses who sometimes have a hard time sitting in their seats.
What is The Melting Pot?
The Melting Pot is the original fondue restaurant where guests can enjoy several fondue cooking styles and a variety of unique entrees, salads, and unforgettable desserts. But they are more than just a restaurant; they are a unique destination offering a dining experience unlike any other. The Melting Pot fondue is perfect for the everyday occasion, from a night out with friends or a romantic dinner with your special someone to a promotion celebration with colleagues.
How Does it Work?
For Superhero Sundays, your menu is set, you simply choose your salad. Make sure you tell the waitstaff of any allergies your family may have – like gluten or peanuts.
The first course is cheddar cheese fondue. Bread and vegetables are perfect compliments to the creamy, cheesy, goodness.
The second course of the meal is your salad. You can choose the house salad, caesar, california, or fruit salad.
The third course is where you cook your meat. We cooked the meat for the kids first and then cooked ours. It worked out pretty well. The biggest thing is keeping little hands off the plates with raw meat. We somehow managed with only one incident of someone putting cooked food on the raw food plate, which they then couldn't eat.
The child's portions are a good size with the other courses to take into consideration.
There are six sauces available to use with your meat. It's worth it to sample all six.
Bring your phone and use the timer. While you can't overcook the meat, the ravioli are a different story. Make sure the vegetables go in first. Let the potatoes cook longer than you think they should.
The favorite course of the meal was the chocolate fondue.
With the choice of milk chocolate, white chocolate, or dark chocolate, everyone is sure to have a favorite.
While You Wait
Don't let a four course meal scare you. While waiting for food, there are plenty of activities for the kids to enjoy. On the day we went, Wonder Woman and Spiderman were taking a break from crime fighting and were able to join us for the event.
There were dance parties, a limbo contest, The Chicken Dance, The Hokey-Pokey, face-painting, and character meet and greets.
We all had a great time visiting The Melting Pot Littleton. It was the perfect surprise for the kids. A great way to spend time together as a family and reconnect in the chaos that has been our life post cross-country move.
The kids are already begging to go back to meet more superheroes, princesses, and knights, depending on the Sunday. More than once we've been met with disappointment that we won't be going back this Sunday.
They definitely enjoyed their first visit to The Melting Pot.
