Made 2 Play: A Boy and His “Happy Shoes”

I don’t know about you, but shoe buying for kids is not my favorite. There are so many choices, but the quality isn’t always the same. After trying many different brands over the years, there are only a couple that stand up to the test.

All of their materials and styles are carefully constructed to ensure that not only are they on trend, but also “Kid-Rite” to pass their rigorous fit and wear testing process.
Trying on shoes at Stride Rite was a breeze.
I am so glad that we went into the store so my kids could have their feet measured. Have you recently had your kid’s feet measured?
No? You should. Really. Why? Because while I knew my son was going to need new shoes soon, I didn’t think they were needed NOW. But they were.
He measured an 11.5 {maybe wide, depends on the shoe}. What size was he wearing? Oh, just a 10. Yep. I’ll take that Mom of the Year Award now. I couldn’t believe it!
He tried on the Made 2 Play shoes and he started beaming. We encouraged him to walk around the store for a bit to see how they felt. He was ecstatic!
He started walking slowly around, but with each step he picked up speed. He stopped in front of the mirror to check out these new shoes on his feet and he started calling them his “Happy Shoes.”

Everything that goes on their body must be washable. Everything. It doesn’t matter if your child can tie their shoes or not. The grip and go strap makes getting shoes on and off by themselves super easy. They have a reinforced toe for durability.
My kids have gotten really clumsy lately. I’m guessing it’s a growth spurt. Reinforced toes are super helpful at protecting littles toes. We’ve had smashed toes before. It’s not a pleasant experience.
Made 2 Play Shoes have a memory foam insole for added comfort. I wish all of mine did too! They have an anti-stink lining that helps keep shoes odor-free.
This is HUGE!!
My boys have the stinkiest feet. It’s awful. We would be driving down the road and I would smell this horrendous odor. Even with his shoes on his feet! This anti-stink lining is my favorite feature.
