WHITNEY CORNELISON | SIMPLIFYING FAMILY
With a little creativity, you can decorate for fall on a budget.
I’m on a budget, and I don’t have a lot of storage space, so I always have to be a little more inventive when it comes to the number of seasonal items I buy.
I’ve gathered a few ideas for you today on how you can decorate your home just the way you want it–without breaking the bank.
1
INVEST IN FAUX DECORATIONS. Faux decorations make sense in the long run because they can (technically) last you forever! Find cute faux pumpkins or colorful fall foliage for decorating.
HOST A FALL HOME DECOR EXCHANGE PARTY. Gather your friends together for a fall party, ask them to bring a fall decoration item they don’t use anymore and have an exchange time during the party.
2
SHOW OFF YOUR QUILTS WITH AN EASY DIY. Gather your blankets together and make an easy quilt ladder to keep them handy and on display!
3
BUY OR MAKE SEASONAL CANDLES. You can also look up recipes for essential oil blends you can diffuse so that your house can still smell like fall.
4
USE OR REPURPOSE THINGS YOU ALREADY OWN. Save money by utilizing the neutral decor items you already own, such as mason jars, white candles, and burlap table runners.
5
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF NATURE. Grab a few pinecones or branches, and scatter them throughout. Make sure you clean them thoroughly so that no little critters or bugs get into your house.
6
Need to streamline your morning routine? If you find yourself doing the same things over and over again, see if there's a way to simplify the process.
Carving pumpkins? Here are some great stencils for pumpkins of your favorite Disney characters!
