With less than one week until my due date, I was dying to get the nursery
semi-complete. At this point, I’m really uncomfortable and just want to know whether this baby is a boy or a girl. Even Ellie seems to know it’s a baby, and not a puppy (concluded during a non-scientific experiment). We are pre-registered at the hospital, the bags are packed, we have a boy outfit and a girl outfit, and the car seat is installed. I think we’re ready, maybe.
I completed my first major sewing project – the crib skirt. I added a border and pleats. It did turn out better than I expected. Definitely a learning experience.

The changing table/dresser finally arrived! After a long day at work, my wonderful husband came home and hung pictures without me asking. I’ll be painting the little table once I know whether we’ll be accenting in pink or blue.

I love this little lamp shade!

We just had to get the baby their very own Elly (not to be confused with Ellie).
Life around here should be pretty interesting within the next couple of weeks, make that months, well, probably the whole year. Ellie thinks that everything is her toy. We have to keep Elly in the crib for now because Ellie wants to play with her. I’m sure there will be plenty of stories to tell.
