Reflections on Mother’s Day

Mothers Day Reflections

Mother’s Day always brings mixed emotions for me. While I celebrate the joys of motherhood with my family, I also remember the not too distant past. I remember the pain, hurt, and jealousy that came on this day. I wrote about our journey through infertility and hope we have in Jesus in my eBook “Infertility: a Silent Struggle and a God Who Hears”. While I do think Mother’s need to be celebrated. I also think we should be mindful of those who want more than anything to have a child to call their own, but for some reason or another, this is not the time. Above all, we must remember that our lives have a two fold purpose – to worship God and bring He glory. I would not have written infertility into our story, but we walked through that for His glory. And I pray that those struggling would find hope in Him and encouragement through our story.

After the birth of our fourth child, I decided that what people really need to do for new mom’s is to take up money and pay someone to clean their house. Forget about all the baby gear. I need someone to clean my house!

When I saw that Woman to Woman Ministries wanted to bless a mama with a whole house cleaning, I knew this was something I wanted to be a part of. Actually, I want to enter it!
